I note that the Crowne Plaza, Cambridge - perhaps the worst piece of architecture allowed into the city centre in recent decades - has been bought out of receivership for £35m.
Property company London & Regional are the new owners. They also own the "Olympic" Hilton, and the the Hiltons in Trafalgar Square and in Green Park. Directors Ian and Richard Livingstone also own Chewton Glen and Cliveden. Maybe they can add a touch of class to the exterior as well as the interior.
