In-house DG favourite George Entwistle managed to find time in May to visit Los Angeles for the annual salesfest of film and tv known as the LA Screenings. The Director of Vision was accompanied by Janice Hadlow, Controller of BBC2 and Zai Bennett, Controller of BBC3, as well as Sue Deeks, in charge of acquisitions. This seems an interestingly high-powered bunch to send - considering the Delivering Quality First commitments to further cuts in the spend on US films and series for BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Three.
