Done deal ?

All a bit odd. Richard Deverell, formerly in charge of the BBC's strategy for White City and the sale of Television Centre, left Auntie in January with these words to The Guardian: "The W12 project came to a natural point just before Christmas where the three big questions have been answered and it is now about quite granular legal and property details being worked out".

Now Richard is on to his second, post-BBC role. He joined Ofcom to work on the forthcoming Communications Bill. Now that's on the back-burner, he's off to become Director of Kew Gardens, joining them in September.

But there's still no news of a Television Centre deal. Has granular gone to gritty ?
