Headline news

Did we mention before that CNN was struggling in prime-time amongst US audiences ?  The channel's prime-time jewel is Piers Morgan, set in a platinum cluster of Anderson Cooper.

A US correspondent (yes, this blog has extensive resources) points me to this analysis in The Hollywood Reporter:  "Final numbers give the network's Monday-Friday showing, between 8 and 11 p.m., its smallest take among total viewers in two decades."

The Nielsen ranking of cable-only channels in the US for the week of 14th May has TNT at the top. CNN is 38th.  BBC America is at 55.  BBC World News, "available in 330 million homes", is inexplicably missing - at least until I get an email from someone explaining it.
