Big Ben Cooper's been wielding the axe at Radio 1Xtra. From September, Westwood, a middle-aged man who speaks with a funny voice, will lose his weekday afternoon slot to Charlie Sloth, a younger man who speaks with a funny voice.
Charlie's current work is mainly overnight on Radio 1 and1Xtra where he hosts a rap show. The self-styled "Heat from the Streets" nightime offerings carry plenty of warnings that the shows are for over-18s only. Here's a little sample - I think it's clean, but then, it's hard to tell with these funny voices.
It's what Tim Davie calls "human curation".
