Something's going on in BBC Local Radio - now we have news that Mick Ord is leaving his job running BBC Radio Merseyside, for "an editor role in a new topical content production team at BBC Knowledge and Learning, where he will have responsibility for the Religion, Ethics & Topicality genre". That's five vacancies.
Beware, Mick - Lord Patten is not enamoured of "genre comissioning".
