Programme breaks

The music of Kenny G made a surprise appearance in the Olympics run-up, as BBC2 lost the outside broadcast coverage of the cycling test event on Sunday afternoon, 20 minutes before the end. No word on how or where the line went down.  Up until then, it had all been going swimmingly - or rather, cyclically, or something, with plenty of free publicity for Sky and Adidas.

Elsewhere this weekend, Jazz FM lost the music of Mike Vitti's Funky Sensation show - for a burst of what appeared to be the soundtrack of a gay porn movie. This happened on Saturday night, around 7.15pm - and it appears that someone may have gained unauthorised entry to the station's Wyvil Road, SW8 studios (across the road from the Vauxhall Griffin).  Mike, the station's programme director, had to confess he was on tape - read the tweets upwards.
