The BBC's Director of Business Operations Lucy Adams is still plugging away at "change" in this-last-year-of-Thommo-Jubilee-Olympics-let-there-be-no-disruption period.
Here's the minute of her contribution to the January Executive Board. The Birt-speak-feel presumably comes from the minute-taker, rather than plain-talking Lucy.
Lucy Adams summarised the aims of the transformation plan, which involved getting the
organisation ready for change, reviewing the reward management system and
implementing simpler, cleaner decision making processes. Lucy outlined various aspects
of work being undertaken in each of these areas, noting that it would be useful to
reiterate the last aim as part of the continuing narrative on DQF.
I think she's talking about cutting jobs by 20%, reducing the wage bill beyond that, and sticking to a few decisions.
