Let's talk about...

Peter Salmon and the BBC North team love that pioneering stuff. So they've launched a new "staff engagement scheme", which they're call the 3MEs. It is, apparently, a new approach to staff training, through a new online site, split into three areas. He explains...

"Career Me will list the jobs and training opportunities available in the division; Creative Me will detail events and sessions about production developments and techniques; Social Me is 'about enriching the social life of staff at BBC North', so it will have details of sports teams, BBC Club activities and so forth."

In an marvellous meeting of Birt-speak with Salmon-spout, sprinkled with HR Horlicks, BBC North chief operating officer Alice Webb told Ariel: 'In North we have a single conversation with our staff, the 3MEs will underpin that single conversation in one place.'
