The list of judges for the Sony Radio Academy Awards is out - and, I suspect, with a ratio of 80 men to 50 women, that's the closest the gender balance has been for some time.
The board of Sound Women ("a network of over 200 inspirational women working in audio. We are committed to raising the profile of the women who work in the radio and audio industry, and celebrating their achievements.") are, as should be the case, well represented. Maria Williams, Karen Pearson, Nicky Birch, Chris Burns, Fi Glover, Francesca Panetta, and Miranda Sawyer are all there.
