Processing the process

The BBC recently got a partial pat on the back from the National Audit Office on its previous efficiency drive.  But now it seems the old ways have returned.  It hasn't yet been able to calculate the cost of the Delivering Quality First machine, and is asking for extra time to do the sums, in response to a pretty straightforward request lodged via the excellent What Do They Know.
