BBC strategy chief, John Tate - prime mover of both Putting and Delivering Quality First - is not riddled with self-doubt. In his latest blog post, he reveals that he reviews the BBC's performance quarterly, and "for this year's third quarter, an especially strong picture emerged that reminded me of just what an extraordinary organisation the BBC is".
No sign yet of the detailed info pack, but he says that BBC services reach 96% of the UK adult population, with the average person spending 18 and a half hours with the BBC's various services.
In the first quarter, when this data set was first published, the BBC reached 96.8% of the UK adult population, and the average person spent 19.25 hours with the BBC's services.
