Honoured

The BBC's strategic move to Salford Quays has altered DG Mark Thompson's almost annual acquisition of honorary degrees and fellowships.  In 2008 it was Exeter University; in 2009 it was the University of Central Lancashire; in 2010 the fellowships fell fallow; but this year Edgehill University, based in Ormskirk, has come good.
