Knees-up

There'll be a right old twmpath in Carnafon tonight, where Huw Jones has been selected by Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt to lead what's left of S4C. It's Huw's second go at the job.  He started out in the media as a singer songwriter, eventually setting up Sain Records, which attracted a fairly political roster of Welsh rock groups (the style, not the seaside boiled sweet), before adding the lighter talents of Aled Jones and Bryn Terfel. He also set up the the tv production studios, Barcud, in his home town, now unused, and which may be converted to a climbing centre.

Here's a bit of Huw from the early days, now preserved on the CD Welsh Rare Beat.
