Some more bizarre decisions are flowing from the core folly of removing BBC radio channels from Freeview in Scotland in the evenings, to create bandwith to carry the Gaelic tv service, BBC Alba. Now it seems not all need to be silenced from afternoon to midnight - and the Scots will still have access via their tvs to 1Xtra (aimed at a young British black audience) 6Music and 5Live.
This probably won't satisfy some in Highland Perthshire - who say that neither medium wave, nor FM, nor DAB reaches them, and the telly is the only way they hear Radio Scotland or Radio 4. Still the Alba-tross flies on...
