Mind Your Language
Choices of words remain interesting in broadcasting. George Entwistle, would-be Director of BBC Vision, in a "come-and-get-me" interview in the Media Guardian, seems happy to use the word "cuts", when looking at the 20% "savings" the Director General is seeking. At BBC London, a series this week looking at the "cuts" local councils are having to make in their budgets for next year, is branded "London savings".
