Frei-d

The laurels of triumph have been taken from Matt Frei's rugged forehead.  BBC World News America, his hour long "take" on international events from Washington, has been removed from the schedule of BBC America, where it has plugged away at the 7pm Eastern time slot for nearly three years.   It's being reduced to half an hour, and a slot on BBC World News, which reaches many fewer homes in the States, at 4pm Eastern time. Bull-ish producer Rome Hartman says it will also be made available to PBS stations, but it sounds like he's clutching at straws.  Will there really be room for Katty Kay in the 30 minute version ?
