Regular readers will know that THIS is your one-stop shop for BBC Freedom of Information news. The Times, Telegraph and Independent this weeked picked up stats about the cost of employment tribunals that appeared here on December 13.
Enough crowing. Spend on external consultants will probably appear next week in the Mail and FT. For your eyes only, the BBC spent £8.1m in 2007/8, £7.9m in 2008/9 and £8.3m in 2009/10. And Sir Michael Lyons has only just eased off on consultants spend at the BBC Trust. They parted with an eye-watering £1.3m in 2007/8, £1.9m in 2008/9 and £638k in 2009/10. Let's hope Lord Patten runs things more cheaply.
