Unions at ITV have voted overwhelmingly to accept a 3% pay deal. BECTU, Unite and the NUJ balloted members in December. As part of the deal, staff will also get a £300 bonus - part cash, part-shaky shares - on top of any other bonus they are entitled to. There was no increase for staff last year.
And that could still be the case for those on £60,000 or more - their rise will be subject to "performance" measured over 2010.
It's a good way of getting performance-related pay through - will the BBC follow ?
