FoI response from the BBC to one Peter White: The total cost of attending the LA screenings in 2008 was £23,842.79. Five executives attended. The total cost of attending the LA screenings in 2009 was £20,460.63. Four executives from the BBC attended.
The above figures include flights,transport,accommodation,and other incidental expenses.
Presumably, the BBC won't really bother with the 2011 event, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza this May (screenings room rate $284), as it pulls back from US imports at the behest of the BBC Trust. And Sky Atlantic launches...
