The Mail on Sunday has had some fun with the discovery that BBC South East environment correspondent Yvette Austin keeps fit by pole-dancing. And, at 42, she's apparently good at it - coming second out of eight finalists in the recent British Isles Pole Dance Championships, held at Grays in Essex on October 16.
Her Facebook site has provided the Mail with some pictures, but is now closed down. But a couple of days later in October, she had recovered from her exertions sufficiently to be on parade winning EDF South East Environmental Journalist of the Year - and her cv will have a few at TVC seeing if they can remember her...
"Starting her career in local radio, Yvette Austin has moved around regions, the news channel and World Service, but says her current post as environmental correspondent for BBC South East is her favourite. Her submitted work for BBC South East were all off-diary pieces and created off her own bat."
