A heartwarming day yesterday, centred on a memorial service for Allan Robb. I guess 250 turned up for the celebration of the life of former Newsbeat, News 90 etc and 5Live presenter. There were excellent warts-and-all contributions from Allan Little, Sybil Ruscoe, Will Whitehorn, and organiser Nicky Campbell, who memorably described his best friend as "Icarus in chinos". Great gags were remembered, as well as uppity moments. (Paul Waters has a good one here)
The biggest tribute was the presence of so many friends and colleagues, talented people paying respects to a talented man.
