A flurry of activity in, around and about MediacityUK as we approach the weekend. The BBC has revealed to the Guardian the timetable of moves from London and elsewhere. The piece also has the sadder news that those not in "Wave 1" (unfortunate connotations of D-Day landings ?) will now receive notice of redundancy, with information about resettlement. It'll feel odd working in teams of movers and non-movers/leavers til July 2011.
Meanwhile, at Salford Quays, the bridge connecting to the Imperial-War-Musem-side of the canal is being moved into place this morning. Intrepid BBC R&D man Andrew Bonney has set up this webcam. If it goes into place in a day, it'll be a bridge to nowhere-but-a-construction site for the time being. But it'll certainly enhance photographs and photographic opportunities if the piazza formally opens this weekend...
