When we review the legacy of Sir Michael Lyons as Chairman of the BBC Trust, let's not forget the lease on offices at 180 Great Portland Street.  Previously BBC Governors and Trustees were happy to do their work within existing BBC premises.  Sir Michael, committed to value for the licence fee, chose to move outside when the BBC ended its lease on offices and studios in Marylebone High Street.
