Service update - or not

As with many one-man teams, blogging here from now on will be as static as the England attack, until early August.

By which time, I expect we'll know important stuff like the new Controller of BBC Radio 4; how many more people the BBC will have to send to Salford to meet their commitments on numbers (as departments make more year-on-year headcount cuts, the move north requires topping up every now and then); and whether or not Cesc Fabregas will stay with Arsenal.

Should you get bored here, do follow the daily blog of the indefatigable Gill Edmonds, as she navigates her first summer managing the tea rooms at Witley Court.

Or see whether Paul Waters gets a publishing deal for his novel, Blackwatertown.

Or get cheered up by "Angry People in Local Newspapers".

I thank you.
