Apologies for poor service last week. A holiday on the Croatian island of Brac took me away from mains electricity, never mind Wifi.
In a catch-up on areas of interest, I note that Talksport has sneaked exclusive commentary rights to the Rugby World Cup 2011 from under the nose of 5Live (who probably weren't expecting exclusive competition in coverage of the oval ball - in 2007 commentary rights were shared). Mariella Frostrup has said Today producers are not, after all, misogynists. And 5Live has opened the field to all applicants for the job of Breakfast Editor - one of the best jobs I ever had.
