The Payne returns

Ian Payne has dipped his toes back in the water at Radio 5 live, some seven years after leaving the BBC for Sky. He now seems to have ditched Murdoch's wages for a freelance career - overnight he tried one of the longest gigs in radio, Up All Night (props Rhod Sharpe and Dotun Adebayo). Forums are speculating he might get work with Absolute Radio, with their new football offer starting next season, or even slip into the vacant Colin Murray chair for football nights on Five, the tv station.
