Tim Weller is joining the board of BBC Worldwide as a non-executive director, eventually to look after audit. Since 2005, he's been chief financial officer of a water company, United Utilities. John Smith, CEO of Worldwide was a non-exec of Severn Trent, a water company, for four years from 2004, stepping down in February 2008, citing pressure of BBC commitments. In December 2009 he became a non-exec of Burberry plc.
