On parade

BBC staff may or may not be interested to know Siemens (who look after the Corporation's technology) have the time and money to be the sponsor of the first-ever Manchester Day parade, coming up on June 20. A series of floats will cross the city, leaving on a round trip from Castlefield at 2pm, lead by 50 Siemens staff on an attraction to be named "The Spirit of Manchester". The event is produced by Salford-based Walk The Plank.
