MediaCityUK - still without a commercial media tenant outside the Pie Factory and the Peel-run studio block - has parted company with its head of business development, Jason Legget. A scoop by the Salford Star. He joined the company less than a year ago, in yet another transfer from the NWDA. Jason's previous work includes running digital media for Trinity Mirror in the north-east, and a period of consultancy before he joined the NWDA.
Meanwhile, a group of trade associations in the North West is lobbying Vince Cable to keep the NWDA alive - the Tory preference is to close it down.
