Cherwell has a nice inside story on the mechanics of Mark Damazer's move from Radio 4 to St Peter's College, Oxford. Headhunters Russell Reynolds involved student representatives in drawing up the person specification way back in autumn 2009 - and then they were also part of the interview process for six shortlisted candidates. Junior Common Room President, Daniel Stone, told Cherwell, "I wanted someone who could understand things from the point of view of students, someone who was good at communicating and who could bring the college even closer together... after meeting Mark, I am confident that he has these characteristics and more."
