Odd conglomeration of radio events last night - The Global Reith Awards (internal to the BBC, and usually dominated by World Service output) at BAFTA; The Asian Music Awards, largely sponsored by the Asian Network, at the Festival Hall; and 6Music's 8th birthday party, venue unknown, which has left occasional presenter and Twitterholic Richard Bacon capable of only the shortest Tweet this afternoon: "One is tired". Not surprised, as he tweeted "Let's rock the joint" at around 2.55am.
Pretty confident that Mark Thompson only went to BAFTA. Trevor Dann of The Radio Academy wasn't far away in the audience, and contemplated making a citizen's arrest.
