Tim Davie has announced plans for a UK Radioplayer service, which will give access to all Ofcom-licenced stations, streamed and on-demand. He's presumably confident the BBC Trust will like it.
Jenny Abramsky will undoubtedly be pleased. Previous regimes (when Ashley Highfield ran BBC technology) have insisted that BBC radio content be access only from the IPlayer, in a slightly hardline view of the multimedia future. Tim must have worked on them; it certainly looks better from the partnership point of view.
