Admittedly, the controls have got tougher at Wikipedia - but there is also a "steady-state" to consider - i.e. an increasing bulk of entries don't need constant updating...

Niggle
The Wall Street Journal (Pay-Walls-R-Us) has had a pop at Wikipedia, choosing to headline a drop in the number of people editing its entries, (analysed by a university in Spain) against the more impressive statistic of a 20% year on year growth in the number of people using the online enyclopedia.
