Dons get dome

Property Week reports that Trinity College Cambridge has bought a 999-year lease on the Millennium Dome, for £24m, from joint-owners Quintain and Lend Lease Europe. Unlikely that the structure will last that long, but they clearly see long-term value in the site. They'll also get income from O2 ticket sales, with AEG still running the sub-lease.

Quintain and Lend Lease continue to own and manage the surrounding 150 acres.
