Freedom of Information and The BBC: Part 2. The Telegraph asked for and got a 2006 BBC document, on the move to Salford, putting the net cost of the move in operating costs between £15m a year cheaper and £75m a year more expensive than staying put. However the figures all included the government and Salford Council sponsoring the BBC Philharmonic to the tune of £16m if the move went ahead.
