Three years to the London Olympics - and breakfast shows get a facility on site. The subs for at least one broadcaster wrote "they're on time and on budget, despite the global recession". That should read "because of". There are very few building contracts with the same cash and impetus behind them; most of the contractors will be hoping to increase their margins by squeezing sub-contractors; and in the current economic climate, the only reason any of it should cost more than forecast is if the builders' lawyers are cleverer than those working for the ODA.
The only big risk hanging out is the seating in the main stadium - temporary or not ?
