The Guardian estimates that 15 out of 30 "senior managers" invited by the BBC to move with their departments from London to Salford in 2011 have said yes, at yesterday's deadline. But I suspect their contracts can't stop them from applying for other jobs in the interim - so that number might vary. And people will ask how many intend to be four/five day week commuters.
The other 15 will have to negotiate either redeployment or redundancy. Again, for those in departments moving entirely to MediaCity, redeployment of lost sheep managers isn't going to be easy. Those in split departments - News and Future Media - may have a better chance of continued employment in the capital. However, it's also the time of year when the BBC begins to reveal how it's going to deliver its "continuous improvement" commitments, which is usually followed by a trawl for volunteers to leave.
Now for Salford, how many of the remaining 1,590 workers slated to go will say yes ?
