One topic of discussion last night was about how pompous titles can feel when they're first introduced in news organisations - yet we stick with them. In the BBC, they've included the change from "Intake" to "Newsgathering", and the emergence of the Global News division.
Surfing this morning, I find that planned multimedia re-organisation at the Washington Post includes the creation of a new role - Universal Editor. Hard to top that. From Poynter Online.
