Not entertaining Mr Sloane

Just for completeness - it looks like it was Niall Sloane who decided enough was enough after the contest to become Director of Sport at the BBC, according to the Guardian. Niall was in charge of football coverage, but had spent most of this year assembling the team to back the BBC's investment in F1 coverage.
