3-D's a-coming

Philips have unveiled a 42 inch 3-D HDTV using "Quad Full" and their own "WoW" processing technology to create an autostereoscopic display - you get the effect without special glasses.

The screen resolution is an extraodinary 3840 x 2160 (8.29 million pixels) allowing the creation of 46 slightly different views of the same scene as the viewer scans the image with left/right eye movements.

Thanks to Wired.

Remember those old key ring fobs with a serrated surface ?
