The BBC Board, in the shape of its Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee, has asked DG Tim Davie and CEO News Deborah Turness "to develop a plan to address low trust issues among some sections of the audience. "
The Committee met in January, and, at that stage, decided to delay starting a review of Middle East coverage during the 'cease-fire'; called for a quick review of business coverage; and asked to talk to Global Director Jonathan Munro after an internal review of differences between the English language News website and the BBC Arabic website in reporting the Israel/Gaza war.
