Boater

Former BBC big cheese Dame Jenny Abramsky shows no sign of slowing down as she approaches her 70th birthday later this year.

She's Chair of the Royal Academy of Music, Chair of the Board of Governors of The Royal Ballet, Chair of National Life Stories, a charitable wing of the British Library, and Chair of Ladies Who Learn. She's also a mentor for the Clore Leadership Programme.

Now we learn that her name has gone forward as a new trustee for the Canal & River Trust. Come on, Dame Jenny, cheese those ropes and crack the paddles. Never mind the gongoozlers.

  • Would love to know if Dame Jenny has yet extracted any gossip on a new, simpler, structure at the BBC, from fellow Royal Academy of Music trustee Suzanne Heywood, leading the McKinsey team advising Lord Hall....
