Used envelopes

The weekday line-up for new DAB service TalkRADIO, launching on Monday 21st March, is hardly breaking many moulds.

Breakfast host - 6am to 10am - is Jonathan Ross's older brother Paul, 59.  He was host of the original TalkRadio's breakfast show with Carol McGiffin, from 1996 to 1998, when Kelvin McKenzie bought the station and began the transformation to TalkSPORT. Paul was also in the breakfast seat at Radio London from 2008 to August 2014, when personal issues arose.

Julia Hartley-Brewer, 47, takes over from 10am to 1pm. She was the afternoon host on LBC from 2011, until the arrival of Shelagh Fogarty from 5Live.

Then there's a gap in the presenter line-up until we get to Sam Delaney, 40, from 4pm to 7pm. A portfolio hack, he made his name with Men's Health magazine and Heat, then popoped up in the browing ranks of paper reviewers required by Sky News. He's been practicing on TalkSPORT ofr nearly a year.

Then another gap, til we get to Iain Lee, 42, who will be able to give fuller rein to his opinions from 10pm to 1am than he was in the breakfast chair at BBC Three Counties.

Programme director Liam Fisher adds catman George Galloway, 61, to the Friday evening schedule, in the hope of some easy outrage publicity.
