Soft perm ?

Fancy a job with a pretty high chance of a redundancy settlement within two years ? The BBC Trust is advertising for a Head of Policy, a new post, described as "permanent", on a "continuing contract". Odds against, I'd say...

Your role, should you choose to accept it, is "to direct and co-ordinate the policy work that the Trust does, in particular in response to the Government’s review of the BBC’s Royal Charter". It looks as if the new Director of the Trust, Alex Towers, is not replacing his old role as Deputy Director, and using the money for this new position.  Spookily, Alex was Policy Manager at the DCMS when we last went through a Charter Review.
