Long Spoon

There's a slightly chaotic feel to life at the BBC in this year of change.  Many staff will be surprised to see Mark Thompson apologising - again - for the lack of older women on screen. More will be surprised to see that this apology has been issued via The Daily Mail, who's relationship with the BBC is ambivalent, to say the least.  Did Paul Mylrea expect it to be under the banner "Right Minds", edited by Simon Heffer ?  Anyone noticed the edited photo of our DG with Miriam O'Reilly nestling on his shoulder ?  Is it a good idea to run the article when Radio Scotland are curtailing Janice Forsyth's Saturday show ?  When there's a demo planned to "Save Janny On The Tranny" as Lord Patten meets Alex Salmond at Holyrood ?  And if Anneka Rice is the answer, what was the question again ?
