James Weatherup, the latest News International employee to be arrested and questioned in connection with interception of phone messages, has a 25 year record in tabloid and Sunday paper journalism, though some of the dates are a little confused (see below). He's got more regular by-lines than the others - 58 articles since October 2008 noted by journalisted - most recently "Sherrie's a boozy, violent, jealous control freak". In his own words, "As well as breaking exclusive stories, managing huge budgets, I also advised stars on PR and media related matters". There are suggestions he co-wrote a book about Fred West, but I can't find it on Amazon. He went to Dulwich College, and has a 2.1 in Modern Studies/International Relations from Coventry University, achieved in 1977.

Leave james be
ReplyDeleteTrying not to judge - his was a new name, so it's just a biog from stuff that's out there...
ReplyDeleteJames is a great chap and always has been. Anything he would have done would have been for the good of the public. He always puts others first and never has allowed his career aspirations to cloud his judgement. This wjhole debacle has been touted by the system to smoke screen other issues such as politicians in trouble and actors careers that are on the wain....Phone bugging so what?? MI5 do it all the time so do other esoteric organisations....The press gets the dirty laundry out in public for the masses in relation to those who try to make out that they are above and beyond us all, with their high and mighty lofty opinions of themselves. Those bemoaning their lot will cream the legal system yet again. I understand one of them is getting 100 grand because their phone was tapped and a few things were published about one in the national rag...Big deal!!!!so what We all would like 100 grand and articles about the colour of our latest underwear etc...etc....grow up the lot of you and the police should know better than to persue decent people doing a good job...These so called superstars who place themselves on the moral high ground should be exposed to this type of intelligence attainment. They do not want the real them to be displayed to us, the masses and lesser mortals in their eyes....All news is good news to them, its just another cheque in the bank.
ReplyDeleteJames is a lovely person doing his job the country needs more people like him not less.
