The Telegraph has some details of an apparent brou-ha-ha in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the production area of BBC World. According to a witness, one of the production team, Bill Hayton "ran across the room" and pushed presenter Jonathan Charles, who "fell backwards". The witness said that Mr Charles was carrying a cup of herbal tea, which was spilt. Bill Hayton apologised, and Jonathan accepted his apology.
If it had been a more serious contretemps, the Telegraph might have mentioned that Mr Charles is in the "dapper" category of presenters, while Mr Hayton is taller. To even things up, Mr Hayton would have been up all night, and 0630 is a dangerously low-ebb time at the end of a night shift, whilst Mr Charles would have been at work since 0400, and presumably speedier with the ingest of herbal tea.
