We clearly need a new "constitutional agreement" for the World Service. Let's get Jean Seaton to write it, but as we wait for drafts, how about finding a Trustee of standing and reputation on world affairs, and a new non-exec to protect WS interests inside the domestic-focussed Executive Board ?
And while we're on, let the replacement for Sir Michael Lyons, if it has to be a "senior Tory", be Lord Patten.
