Trust is earned

There's a funny sort of mock transparency about the BBC's interview with Prince Harry. We're told the borrowed house not far from the Prince's home had screaming peacocks outside; that it was dark and late; and that the Prince was eager to share... 

I'd like to know who exactly the Prince's side approached at the BBC; when the approach was made; why an interviewer was flown from in from New York; and what time the interview was recorded. Did it come before the Palace and the Government had made their statements ?
